The mission of Tullahoma High School is to provide an exemplary educational program that will provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful, productive citizens.
The current high school in Tullahoma was established on the North Jackson Street campus in 1956 and was, for many years, known as the "Million Dollar High School" due to the initial construction cost. Over the next 50 years, the school expanded from a standard two-story high school to a sprawling campus. The most recent addition to the building was the construction of the science wing in 1995. In recent years, the school faced many infastructure problems. In 2008 a community based capital projects program was authorized and Wilkins Stadium as well as the THS auditorium were rehabilitated.
Work on the Wilkins Stadium began in March 2009 and the new stadium complex was completed as the 2009 school year opened. The THS Auditorium was redesigned to provide a state of the art venue for the community and school and renovation was completed in May 2010

The THS Mission will be accomplished when students are:
Academic Achievers who demonstrate competency within measurable learning standards.
Clear Communicators who can effectively transfer information by listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Responsible Citizens who understand the roles and duties of the responsible citizen and how to improve the quality of life in their communities.
Complex Thinkers who use resources, apply academic knowledge to reason, solve problems, and make decisions.
Quality Producers whose work, individually or within a group setting, displays creativity, high standards, and demonstrates excellence across the curriculum.

A THS employable student:
.... is on time with all necessary supplies.
.... has a positive work ethic, whether working independently or cooperatively.
.... does quality work.
.... demonstrates initiative.
.... exhibits courtesy and manners.

THS has one of the most varied athletic programs of any school in Tennessee. Any student may try out in any sport for which he/she meets the eligibility standards of the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association. To be eligible for school sports six (6) out of eight (8) subjects must be passed the preceding year. A student MUST BE ENROLLED in at least 3 classes during the semester of athletic participation in order to be eligible under T.S.S.A.A. guidelines. (On-line classes do not count toward athletic eligibility.) The following sports are available for interested students: baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, girls’ softball, golf, soccer, tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling. Eighth grade students placed in the 9th grade are ineligible for sports.
Coaches make the decisions about who participates on their respective teams. Participation in athletics is a privilege at Tullahoma High School. Therefore, we expect all athletes to strictly obey school rules. If an athlete is suspended or habitually violates school rules, the athlete, the coach involved, the athletic director, and the principal (or his designee) shall meet to determine whether or not he/she should be allowed to participate in that sport. Student-athletes will be drug tested at their pre-participation physical and will be subject to random drug testing throughout the year.
Students must be present at school on the day of an athletic event in order to play that day. Exceptions to this policy are: 1. Doctor’s note giving clearance to participate. 2. Absent due to school function. 3. Circumstances beyond the control of the student.

Tullahoma High School is a comprehensive public high school for grades 9-12 with an approximate enrollment of 1,084 for the 2010-11 school year. THS has a Student/Teacher Ratio of 15.5 with a total of 70 full time teachers
The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Tennessee Department of Education. THS is also a member of the College board.
